DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.PRECONDITIONING
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.
TESTING CONDITION: Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than between 11 V at idle. >> GO TO 2.
2.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
Is 1st trip DTC detected? YES >> Proceed to EC-185, "Diagnosis Procedure".
NO >> INSPECTION END
Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK AIR FUEL RATIO (A/F) SENSOR 1 POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
Is the inspection result normal? YES >> GO TO 2.
NO >> Repair or replace error-detected parts.
2.CHECK A/F SENSOR 1 HEATER OUTPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT
Is the inspection result normal? YES >> GO TO 3.
NO >> Repair open circuit, short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors.
3.CHECK A/F SENSOR 1 HEATER Check the A/F sensor 1 heater. Refer to EC-186, "Component Inspection".
Is the inspection result normal? YES >> GO TO 5.
NO >> GO TO 4.
4.REPLACE AIR FUEL RATIO (A/F) SENSOR 1
Replace malfunctioning air fuel ratio (A/F) sensor 1. Refer to EM-29, "Exploded View".
CAUTION:
>> INSPECTION END
5.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to GI-41, "Intermittent Incident".
>> INSPECTION END
Component Inspection
1.CHECK AIR FUEL RATIO (A/F) SENSOR 1
Is the inspection result normal? YES >> INSPECTION END
NO >> GO TO 2.
2.REPLACE AIR FUEL RATIO (A/F) SENSOR 1
Replace air fuel ratio (A/F) sensor 1. Refer to EM-29, "Exploded View".
CAUTION:
>> INSPECTION END
Driving safety precautions
Your NISSAN is designed for both normal and
off-road use. However, avoid driving in deep water
or mud as your NISSAN is mainly designed for
leisure use, unlike a conventional off-road vehicle.

On board diagnostic (OBD) system
Diagnosis Description
This system is an on board diagnostic system that records exhaust
emission-related diagnostic information
and detects a sensors/actuator-related malfunction. A malfunction is indicated
by the malfunction indicator
lamp (MIL) and stored in ECU memory as a DTC. The diagnos ...
